(Real Zaragoza 1-0 Granada): Granada had two shots in the woodwork, but Djumovic scored the only goal in the match.
First Half
Granada had the first shot of the game after just 35 seconds of play but the shot went wide and wasn’t particular well struck. They also got the first big chance when Dani Benitez hit the crossbar. But Granada forgot their defense in this attack. Real Zaragoza went straight into attacking mode, and Djumovic hammered in 1-0 from 20 meters out.
The match was not a pretty one in the first half. Many duels at the midfield, and not much well played football. Fraco Zuculini got a chance after 25 minutes of play, but that shot went wide. Real Zaragoza had another two tries after 41 minutes and 43 minutes, but once again, the keeper made the saves. Granada tried to set in some pressure before half time, but without any results. After 45 minutes, Real Zaragoza leaded by 1 goal to 0.
Second Half
Real Zaragoza started the second half well and Djumovic was in the center of the attention. First, he missed the target from 12 meters. Then, he blew the ball well over the bar after a great piece of work from Aranda. Just like the first half, the second one was just as tight. Granada came to a good chance after 73 minutes of play, but Roberto made the save to keep the clean sheet, for so long.
The match went into the last ten minutes and Granada got a extremely big chance. Dani Benitez sent away a kanon from a long range free-kick, but he only found the post, for the second time of this evening. Ruben Micael also got a red card in the 93th minute of play, but that didn’t prevent the home side from winning. Real Zaragoza took thre hugely important points while Villarreal only managed 1-1 against Racing Santander.
